Neutrogena makeup remover cleansing towlettes?

I had originally bought the Neutrogena makeup remover cleansing towelettes pack that came with the plastic case when i ran out i bought a refill but when i try to put it in the case it's too big and the case will barely close. My question is would it be alright if I took the towelettes out of the bag and just put them in the case? Would they dry out?
