For all the smart horse owners out there?

i may be getting a horse that eats 30lbs a day. which is 900lbs a month. since it is our first horse we need to know budgets! so to know how many hale bays we need to know...how many approx. pounds are usually in a bale? anyone have an answer to that question?? that would be awesome!!
