Police set up roadblock around 107th and Hale St. at 1am today in Chicago. Why?

Is it because Chicago Police are trying to find strong-arm robbers in North Beverly who caused a string of such robberies in this area of the South Side? I thought the flashing lights from a police car blocking off the street was probably because they are trying to stop a suspicious car with a fugitive going down west from 107th. I saw the flashing lights as I got off a commuter train.
